Visit to "Garten Tulln" and the "Biotope in the School Garden" Project

On September 19, the P2 group headed to "Garten Tulln" for the workshop "Expedition Pond."

Despite the cold, rainy weather, the children learned a lot of new things - which they can apply right away to their own biotope in the school garden!

Everyone got to use a dip net themselves, and numerous different animals were discovered: pond newt, large and small dragonfly larvae, water striders, backswimmers, mayfly larvae, great diving beetles, and great ramshorn snails.

After the workshop and a short tour through Garten Tulln, the packed lunches were eaten in the heated restaurant, and afterward there was still enough time for the adventure playground.

The biotope expert group continues working on shaping the biotope; these past few days they attached the liner at the edge - we'll keep you posted!
