Students arrive at school between 7:45 and 8:30.
In the morning, three lesson blocks take place, in which mathematics, German, English, or a second foreign language are worked on in small groups. Small-group work takes place within each grade level. In between, there are also always periods of free work. Lunch is at 1 pm.
In the afternoons, the schedule includes:
- Interdisciplinary projects with historical, scientific, and creative content
- Free work
- Science lessons
- Sports
On Wednesdays, the focus is on creative work as well as "Chores" (community duties). These include cooking, garden maintenance, upkeep, event management, and news for the internal homepage.
While the primary school years are characterized by a hunger to understand the world and the cosmos, the years of puberty are characterized by
- the need to try out and understand the future role the young person will later take on in the adult world
- the need for recognition (strengthening self-esteem and respect for personal dignity)
- the need for protection and security. Maria Montessori also calls the Sekundaria a school of experience for social life. Adolescents now experience a kind of second birth. They are "social new-borns" who put all their energy into building their own personality. Who am I? Where do I belong? Who will I one day be?
These are the central questions in a highly unstable developmental phase. Adolescents need opportunities to apply the fundamental abilities and skills they acquired during their childhood years. They need real tasks and must feel real responsibility! Time for exchange with others is just as important as the possibility of withdrawing.
We see the school not merely as a place for transmitting knowledge, but want to give young people the space and time to

- be able to assess themselves realistically
- and experience themselves as an active member of society.
