GALEMO's Winning Streak Continues!
The 2025 sports year could hardly be going better for our GALEMO primary school students! After the sensational 1st place at the Herbert Prohaska Football Tournament at the start of the year, our grades 1-4 have now followed up on the basketball court as well - with impressive performances, plenty of team spirit, and another tournament win!
In early June, our basketball players competed in the Primary Schools Basketball Tournament at Happyland Klosterneuburg - and confidently secured 1st place among Klosterneuburg's primary schools with 4 wins out of 4 games.
Thanks to the perfect organization by Christoph and Peter, the caring supervision by Susanne, and the spirited coaching by Christoph, the children were able to keep a cool head even in the heat of battle. A loud fan community of parents and fellow students additionally turned the hall into a true fireworks display of atmosphere.
Teamwork at Its Finest:
- With tremendous offensive power, our attackers swirled across the court.
- Our defense led confidently and, with great effort, kept the basket clean.
- Some players celebrated fearless first appearances and were in no way inferior to their more experienced teammates (who had already played in 2024).
- With clever passes, key points, and great game awareness, our all-rounders also shone - always in the right place at the right time.
Steady Improvement in Performance:
This was already GALEMO's third time competing in the tournament - and the progress speaks for itself: from 5th place in the first year, to 2nd place last year, now all the way to the top of the winners' podium!
What a Game - What a Team!
Our GALEMO team showed what they're made of with fairness, full commitment, and a great love of the game. Moments like these bring people together, make community tangible, and stay unforgettable.
